I have a long term commitment to improving women’s health by providing best clinical practice and performing cutting edge research through multidisciplinary innovative approach using scientific knowledge in improving maternal and child health, quality health care, and patients’ outcomes. As an obstetrician and gynecologist with interest in sexual and reproductive health issues, I have focused my research on a wide range of reproductive health issues, particularly maternal and fetal outcome (preconception, prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care), contraception, and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery including prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions that affect female pelvic organs. I have utilized hospital and community-based surveys, laboratory, surgical outcome analysis and large data to better understand and identify the prevention, treatment, social, and scientific knowledge of some reproductive issues to generate insights and evidence-based interventions in medical practice and improve patient outcomes. My research focused to bridge the gap using clinical and translational epidemiological findings to transform women’s health.
