Accounting Doctoral Scholars Program

Thank you for your interest in the Accounting Doctoral Scholars (ADS) Program. As of 2024, ADS will no longer be accepting applications. The program has been consolidated with other AICPA-sponsored doctoral scholarships to streamline processes. We are immensely grateful for this initiative's invaluable role in nurturing the pool of accounting faculty in academia. Since its establishment in 2008, ADS has provided financial assistance to 170 aspiring accounting Ph.D. candidates. We look forward to seeing the continued success of all ADS scholars in their academic and professional endeavors. We understand the importance of fostering the next generation of accounting scholars and are dedicated to providing support and opportunities wherever possible. While the ADS program may be closed, our commitment to advancing accounting education and research remains unwavering. We encourage new and current doctoral candidates who meet the eligibility criteria to explore the AICPA Foundation Fellowship for Accounting Doctoral Students (FADS). This fellowship offers valuable financial assistance and resources to CPAs who want to become accounting educators, empowering them to pursue their academic and professional goals confidently.
