Queensland needs a thriving knowledge economy for the future and we're here to give a helping hand to Queenslanders who have great new ideas. **What we do** Advance Queensland helps innovators turn their fresh concepts into reality. We help foster breakthroughs by funding innovation, supporting research and promoting entrepreneurial excellence. We support Queensland innovation in a range of productive ways: - funding and promoting programs and grants - organising and promoting events - sharing resources and information - supporting networks and connection - sharing updates on innovation news in Queensland. **Our impact** Since Advance Queensland launched in 2015, we have supported more than 8,300 recipients. Their projects have driven close to 34,000 jobs and leveraged $1 billion in funds from external partners and investors. From July 2022, when we launched our first 10-year Roadmap, creating a whole-of-government plan, the impact so far has been significant: - **$118 million** in funding committed - **23%** of recipients are based in regional Queensland - **34%** identify as female and 8% identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander - **Close to 7,300 jobs** supported by projects - **30%** of these jobs have been reported by regional recipients, 28% by female recipients and 10% by First Nations recipients. **Focusing on Queensland's future** Advance Queensland's strategies are moving us forward to a brighter future for Queenslanders. Regular reports monitor and measure our performance and progress towards achieving our goals. **Queensland Chief Entrepreneur** The Queensland Chief Entrepreneur works with Advance Queensland to build and promote innovative entrepreneurship and investment.
