Description
**About Us**
The Advocates for Indigenous California Language Survival (AICLS) mission is to foster the restoration and revival of indigenous California language so that they may be retained as a permanent part of the living cultures of native California.
Our primary objectives and purposes are to implement and support the revitalization of indigenous California languages and to assist California Indians in language renewal and maintenance through (1) advocacy, education, and training of speakers and learners for language transmission; (2) the identification and use of existing indigenous language resource materials; (3) the analysis and implementation of pertinent linguistic information and tools; (4) the creation of language learning program models and language restoration materials; (5) the establishment and maintenance of master/apprentice language teams; and (6) the use of modern technology for language documentation and restoration.
