Funding the future of gastroenterology. The AGA Research Foundation is the charitable arm of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA). The foundation provides more than $3 million in research grants annually to promising investigators in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. The AGA Research Foundation Awards Program is critical to ensuring a healthy pipeline of researchers in GI and hepatology. The foundation’s early career awards support young researchers at a critical decision point in their careers — when many consider giving up on research due to a lack of funding. By funding these researchers, we’re funding the discovery of new tools and treatments to care for digestive health patients.
