**Who We Are** **Alaska Sea Grant is one of 34 Sea Grant programs supported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in coastal and Great Lakes states that encourage the wise stewardship of our marine resources through research, education, outreach and technology transfer.** Alaska Sea Grant is a collaboration between NOAA and the University of Alaska Fairbanks and has been supporting healthy coastal resources, economies, and communities in Alaska for over 50 years. Our staff and Marine Advisory Program agents and specialists who live and work in Alaska’s coastal communities carry out this mission through research, education, and outreach. **Mission Statement** To enhance the sustainable use and conservation of Alaska’s marine, coastal, and watershed resources through research, education, and extension. **Funding Sources** Alaska Sea Grant receives federal funding from the National Sea Grant Program.
