WHO WE ARE
The American Savings Foundation, based in Connecticut, is dedicated to strengthening the community by supporting education, human services, and the arts, with a special emphasis on the needs of children, youth and families, through grants to community organizations and college scholarships.
American Savings Foundation is a permanent charitable endowment which provides grants to local nonprofit organizations, in addition to college scholarships to area students. The Foundation is a broad-based funder dedicated to improving the quality of life for the residents of the communities we serve. This is our lasting commitment.
FOUNDATION PROFILE
The Foundation was established by the American Savings Bank in 1995 to give back to the communities it served for over 140 years. In 2003, the American Savings Foundation became a fully independent private foundation. The Foundation is committed to remaining headquartered in New Britain, keeping the American Savings Foundation name, and continuing to invest in the people and organizations that make our communities strong.
