**Mission** The mission of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) is to advance the science and practice of hand and upper extremity surgery through education, research and advocacy on behalf of patients and practitioners. **Vision** The ASSH will be recognized as the most reliable and authoritative source of information on all aspects of hand and upper extremity disorders for all audiences - surgeons, allied health professionals, government, business and industry, patients and the public.
