Arkansas is rich in natural resources, from abundant water supplies to fertile land and diverse ecosystems, that support our communities, economy, and way of life. The Arkansas Department of Agriculture works to protect and manage these resources for current and future generations. As the state’s lead agency for land and water management, the Department develops and implements strategies and programs to ensure sustainable use and stewardship. Key initiatives such as the Arkansas Water Plan, Nutrient Reduction Strategy, and Nonpoint Source Management Plan help guide our efforts. Through collaboration, data-driven planning, and long-term vision, we support the responsible development of Arkansas’s land and water resources.
