Building Excellence for Massachusetts. **History** AGC MA was chartered as a state chapter in 1924 and incorporated in Massachusetts in 1935--representing 100 years years of Building Excellence. Currently, the chapter works closely with all facets of the industry to offer fair business practices for 200 open shop and union members from Cape Cod to the New York border. AGC MA is a chapter of the national trade association the Associated General Contractors of America, which began in 1918 with the goal to assist the government in building up the nation, an objective that AGC has been fulfilling since that time. **Mission** To collaboratively improve our industry and our community through consensus-building initiatives, impactful programs, and dynamic member services that advocate for commercial constructors.
