The Bodenwein Public Benevolent Foundation was established in 1938 under the will of Theodore Bodenwein, owner and publisher of The Day newspaper, to support and promote quality educational, cultural, human services, and health care programming for underserved populations. The Foundation specifically serves the people of Greater New London County, where The Day has a substantial circulation.
