About Us The Browning Kimball Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life through support of youth and families, health with an emphasis on prevention, arts and humanities, and sustainable agriculture. Preference will be given to organizations in Central Montana. Matt S. Browning and Barbara Kimball Browning founded the Browning Kimball Foundation in 1978. It is a unique private foundation dedicated to reaching out to charitable organizations that improve the quality of living for people and communities throughout Montana. The Directors are sensitive to the needs of communities, large and small, and look for mission statements that enhance living conditions for people with all levels of abilities. It is a requirement that applicants have a 501(c)(3) designation by the Internal Revenue Service.
