Vision: Cultivating a caring community through transformative experiences which challenge students to be their best at Buffalo State. Mission: The Dean of Students Office provides leadership for defining and promoting our Compact for a Civil and Caring Academic Community. The Dean of Students area serves as an advocate for the rights of students; offers individual student support, provides programs, services, and co-curricular opportunities to empower students. The Office: The Dean of Students office directly oversees the areas of Residence Life, Student Conduct and Community Standards, Student Leadership and Engagement, Inclusion and Equity Office. The office will assist victims of sexual violence and assault and helps ensure compliance with victim rights under Title IX of the Civil Rights Act. The Dean of Students also convenes a Care Team to respond whenever a student's behavior appears troubled or disturbed, creating cause for concern.
