**About Us - Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs** The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) keeps Americans safe by countering crime and illegal drugs abroad. Through security assistance, visa restrictions and reward programs, and diplomatic pressure, INL delivers tangible results for the American people. INL directly supports Administration priorities to expand security partnerships and counter transnational threats by degrading narco-terrorist cartels, many of which are designated as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs). Working with foreign governments, the private sector, and U.S. federal, state, and local law enforcement, INL combats narco-terrorism, drug trafficking, transnational organized crime, and other criminal threats at the source; and prevents them from harming the American people.
