Carrie S. Orleans Trust

**Mission** Carrie Sybil Orleans was the wife of Morris J. Orleans. Carrie and Morris traveled extensively together during their lifetime. After her husband’s death, Carrie continued in the same manner, but always regarded Dallas as her home. The Carrie S. Orleans Trust was established in 1948 under the will of Carrie Orleans for the purpose of purchasing food and clothing for the poor and needy of Dallas County without regard to race, creed or color. Per Mrs. Orleans’ request, distributions are always made immediately following Thanksgiving Day.
