Description
MISSION
The mission of the Center for AIDS Research at Emory University (Emory CFAR) is to contribute to ending the HIV epidemic by accelerating the highest caliber translational research — fostering team science, equity, and multidirectional stakeholder engagement. To achieve our mission, the CFAR will continue to evolve, adapt, and expand to provide innovative services, tools, expertise, and access to state-of-the-art equipment to support its members so that they can discover, translate, disseminate, and implement cutting-edge HIV research with the goal of ending the HIV epidemic.
SPECIFIC AIMS
In order to accomplish these goals, we:
1. Advance groundbreaking HIV research across the scientific spectrum to end the epidemic for all and promote health equity;
2. Cultivate cutting edge tools and services to support transdisciplinary research teams;
3. Develop the next generation of excellent and diverse HIV investigators;
4. Elevate multidirectional community stakeholder engagement to improve the well-being of people living with and at risk for HIV across their lifespan.
