**What We Do** The **Chinese American Physicians' Society (CAPS)** was founded in 1977 by a group of concerned physicians of Chinese descent in the San Francisco area. Since our inception, CAPS has grown to include members from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds, reflecting the diversity and inclusiveness that are core to our values. We are proud to be one of the corporate members of the Federation of Chinese American and Chinese Canadian Medical Societies (FCMS). **CAPS** is committed to advancing the medical profession and promoting equality for all healthcare professionals, regardless of their background. Our main objectives are to: **Eliminate Racial Prejudice and Discrimination** – We are dedicated to eradicating racial bias and discrimination in all facets of the medical profession. **Foster Social Responsibility** – We work to increase awareness of the medical profession’s responsibility to the communities we serve, advocating for a more inclusive and compassionate approach to healthcare. **Provide a Forum for Knowledge Sharing** – CAPS offers a platform for medical professionals to exchange information, discuss challenges, and share advancements in the field to improve skills and practices. **Support Accessible Healthcare** – We actively promote and support the expansion of affordable, high-quality medical services in socioeconomically disadvantaged communities.
