**What we do** We facilitate collaboration among businesses, governments, research organisations, and industry bodies across supply chains and sectors to foster the development and implementation of innovative solutions. Our aim is to empower them to: - implement circular economy approaches - improve resource efficiency - develop new products and services - tap into new markets - generate new revenue streams - connect with opportunities to collaborate. Those who we support are leading the way with new approaches to business models and sustainability solutions that are smarter, more cost-effective, and future-ready. We prioritise circular outcomes at the top of the waste hierarchy: rethink, reduce, reuse, repair and refurbish. This is because there are other Victorian Government programs specifically dedicated to recycling. We support businesses to implement the 3 [principles of a circular economy](https://ellenmacarthurfoundation.org/topics/circular-economy-introduction/overview#principles), which are all driven by design: - Eliminate waste and pollution. - Keep products or materials in use, at their highest value, for as long as possible. - Regenerate nature. By innovating to avoid or design out waste, Victorian businesses and industries can gain a competitive edge – boosting productivity and future-proofing our economy as we cut waste to landfill and reduce emissions to meet our target of net zero emissions by 2045.
