At the Mayor's Office of Nonprofit Services (MONS), we're committed to more efficient, transparent, and collaborative nonprofit procurement. Nonprofit contracting reform is a priority of the Adams Administration. During the 2021 transition, Mayor-elect Adams and Comptroller Lander convened a joint task force of nonprofit leaders, City and oversight agencies, and funders to identify solutions to the longstanding challenges in the nonprofit contracting process. This collaborative effort resulting in 19 recommendations, published in the report, [A Better Contract for New York: The Joint Taskforce to Get Nonprofits Paid on Time](https://comptroller.nyc.gov/reports/a-better-contract-for-new-york/). Since then, MONS has worked across offices and agencies to implement the Joint Task Force's recommendations with a focus on accountability and measurable results.
