**Welcome to the Department of Earth Sciences.** Founded in 2002, our 15 full-time faculty?represent the disciplines of Archaeology, Environmental Science, Geography, and Geology. Here, excellence is personal through a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to Earth Science studies and research. Our faculty and students actively pursue innovative and applied education and research studies that might be difficult in more traditional academic departments.
