Portland State University's Chicanx/Latinx Studies program is dedicated to helping students understand multicultural society and in particular the Chicano/Latino community within a larger social context. Chicanx/Latinx Studies is the interdisciplinary study of social, cultural, political, economic, and historical forces that have shaped the development of the people of Mexico and other Latin American countries in the United States over the last 300 years.
