Description
**Our Mission**
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and consumer energy costs by advancing clean energy, energy efficiency and zero emission vehicles to benefit all Coloradans.
**Our Vision**
A prosperous, clean energy future for Colorado.
**Equity, Diversity Inclusion**
The core of the Colorado Energy Office's vision is inclusive, striving to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and consumer energy costs by advancing clean energy, energy efficiency and zero emission vehicles to benefit all Coloradans. Inherent in this vision is the necessity to drive changes in energy production and use, the built environment, land use and transportation systems in a way that not only reduces negative impacts from these systems but also counteracts racist and discriminatory policy by providing benefits to disproportionately-impacted communities, people of color and underserved populations. Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) principles are core to the clean and prosperous future we envision for Colorado, and we have a lot of continuing work to meet our goals. CEO created its first [EDI plan in 2021](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ERVB6ZOqnN-ktj0au3yBF4IfY1YHa3IK/view?usp=sharing) to guide this work.
