**Vision**
An inclusive community that understands and appreciates the life-improving impact of chemistry
The American Chemical Society (ACS) Committee Communicating Chemistry (COMM) (formerly the Committee on Public Relations and Communications, CPRC) develops and provides resources to catalyze the communication of chemistry to the public by ACS members and communities. COMM strives to:
- Collaborate with ACS component groups to increase the effectiveness of their communication efforts.
- Celebrate successful practices in public engagement to serve as models and resources.
- Amplify the impact of science communication resources.
**Who We Are**
COMM is an ACS committee with members, associates, and consultants from academia, government, and industry, as well as liaisons who are dedicated to facilitating work across ACS units. We share a commitment to promote and support effective science communication and to increase public appreciation for the life-improving impact of the chemical sciences.
