ABOUT What We Do As your community foundation, we’ve been committed since 1991 to making our Valley a better place to live for all—now and for generations to come. How do we do this? Everything we do begins with local generosity: People in our region who want to give back to their communities in Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties. When our donors give to us, they know that their gifts will be invested, stewarded, and shared to support people where they need it most. As your community foundation, we’re passionate about serving by bringing together resources, expertise, and devoted regional partners to tackle complex and complicated issues. We’re deeply devoted to seeking solutions, building connections, and collaborating to have effective and positive impact where we live. What does a “better place to live for all” mean to us, anyway? We believe it’s a place where every person has access, opportunity, and a satisfying quality of life. We believe it’s a place where diversity is embraced and all are included. We believe it’s a place where the meaning of “philanthropy”—love of people—drives us all to join together in making our region a great place to live.
