Community Foundation of Will County

**The Mission of the Community Foundation of Will County** To PROMOTE philanthropy, CONNECT donors to community needs, and BUILD partnerships to improve the quality of life in our region. The Community Foundation of Will County (CFWC) is Will County's charitable endowment, allowing for investment income to be used to promote philanthropic purposes. Our priority areas are in health, education, human services, and the arts. The CFWC is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public foundation established in 2006. We 'connect people who care, to causes that matter' to improve the lives of Will County residents. We seek to build partnerships to strengthen relationships and identify needs among non-profit organizations, professional advisors, donors and community stakeholders. ****Our Vision**** To be the leading facilitator of philanthropy in our community and a resourceful leader in making a difference through effective community investing. ****Our Strategy**** **Our Strategic plan is built on three key priorities that meet our mission:** 1\. Building awareness regionally to advance a Culture of Philanthropy throughout Will County. 2\. Raising the "right kinds" of funds to both sustain ourselves and achieve our grant-making mission without being in competition with those we serve. 3\. Service, professional development, building partnerships and referrals with community stakeholders who are aligned with our mission.
