WE BELIEVE: NOBODY SHOULD BE HUNGRY – Investing in basic needs to provide food and shelter allows families to focus on building their future, rather than worry about where their next meal will come from. EVERY CHILD SHOULD FEEL SAFE – Child abuse prevention and intervention, quality child care and after school programs are building blocks to ensure that a kid can just be a kid, without having to grow up too soon. EDUCATION BUILDS CHARACTER – Education doesn’t begin and end at the classroom door; many times it is the experience outside the classroom that inspires a child. HEALTHY BODIES AND HEALTHY MINDS MEAN HEALTHY COMMUNITIES. WHO WE ARE The Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation board of directors is comprised of eleven individuals; five tribal members, four community members, and two individuals appointed by the governor of the State of Oregon.
