EIT Global Outreach

The EIT Global Outreach supports the growth and increased revenue of EU startups by scaling to new markets, commercialization, internationalization, launching innovations and raising investments. Through targeted initiatives, this impact-driven programme delivers results, addresses societal challenges, enhances EIT’s global visibility, and strengthens Europe’s innovation competitiveness. After 5 years of activity, the Global Outreach has supported 97 startups, of which 29 subsequently launched their innovation into a new market and raised over €100M. The Global Outreach Programme is led by EIT Health and is managed by the EIT Global Outreach Working Group, which consists of representatives of the EIT and its KICs. Currently, six of the nine current KICs participate in the Programme. EIT, in close coordination with the European Commission, provides strategic guidance and monitors the implementation of the Programme in full alignment with the EU Global Approach in research and innovation. Out of the vision that all participants should have the opportunity to take part in our activities, EIT Global Outreach may offer scholarships in select circumstances.
