Mission
The Eugene Straus Charitable Trust was established in 1974. Eugene Straus was born to a pioneer Dallas family who settled in Dallas County in the 1840’s. Mr. Straus was a successful homebuilder and real estate developer. He created this trust under his will for Dallas County charitable institutions to erect and maintain permanent building improvements.
