Description
Did you know that the Florida Bankers Association (FBA) works with bankers throughout Florida to secure the future of the industry? Our trade association has been dedicated to helping banks since 1888 and we continue to do that today by providing financial assistance to Florida bank employees who want to advance their careers through education. The Florida Bankers Educational Foundation (FBEF) was established in 1956 and offers two different programs to support the best and brightest Florida bankers: 1. For bankers who wish to return to school and achieve their goal of completing a college degree, the **Scholarship Program** offers financial assistance for tuition or required fees. Books or supplies that are required for classes may also be paid for with FBEF funding. 2. The FBEF also offers the **Career Development Program** to Florida bankers for financial assistance that can help pay for tuition at an approved professional development program. Applicants must be currently working at a FDIC-insured bank in Florida or a state or federally chartered trust company in Florida and have been employed for at least one year in the Florida banking industry prior to application for FBEF funding. Please note that employment with a credit union or brokerage/investment firm does not meet this requirement.
