**Mission** The mission of the [American Fisheries Society](http://www.fisheries.org/) and the Georgia Chapter is to improve the conservation and sustainability of fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems by advancing fisheries and aquatic science and promoting the development of fisheries professionals.
