Who We Are Grand Victoria Foundation catalyzes racial justice in Illinois by cultivating the voices, power, and aspirations of Black people for collective liberation. We envision a just and vibrant Illinois rooted in abundant health, wealth, and joy, where communities of color can flourish. Grand Victoria Foundation (GVF) is committed to being a statewide leader in fostering racial justice throughout Illinois. Central to our approach is "community power-building," which involves empowering communities most impacted by systemic inequities to organize, set agendas, and enact meaningful changes through collective action. Our initiatives are grounded in a comprehensive Racial Justice Framework that prioritizes community power-building and supports leaders in advancing equity through policy, practice, and programs. By investing in these critical areas, we aim to dismantle structural barriers to equity and enhance the health, wealth, and joy of all communities, ensuring that Black people and communities of color across Illinois can thrive.
