Healthy Diet, Healthy Life (HDHL) brings together countries to address key societal challenges at the intersection of food, nutrition and health. HDHL is uniquely positioned to provide expert advice, align funding for inter- and transdisciplinary research, and connect stakeholders to translate knowledge into policy and practice. **Our Role in Europe** Our food and health systems face multiple, interconnected challenges. The transition towards healthier and more sustainable diets requires coordination, collaboration, and scientific excellence. HDHL operates across Europe’s evolving research and policy landscape, connecting research structures, Member States and stakeholders to overcome fragmentation and accelerate progress. Since 2010, HDHL has pooled resources to fund research, align national priorities, and strengthen the science–policy interface. The network collaborates with key European initiatives at the nexus of food and health research and policy, such as CLEVERFOOD and FOODPathS. Through the HDHL Food4Health project, HDHL also aligns with relevant Horizon Europe Partnerships, primarily FutureFoodS and ERA4Health, and widens the network, enabling coordinated action.
