The work grew from relief into schools, clinics, and businesses that stand on their own. Relief was the smaller word; Development is the truer one. A Message From the CEO **The name finally says what you built.**  For over 30 years, we at Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA) have been working together for a better world. We've done this step by step, transforming lives through sustained humanitarian efforts. These steps toward collective service and compassion, as with all great moments in the history of America, started with an idea. Justice, equality, freedom-these are the foundations on which the idea of America was built. Now, we mark a moment that is just as important to all of us with a symbolic turning of the page. As we take a step forward for Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA), we are proud to announce our new name. A name that represents what we stand for and the vision that has driven us for decades. Today Islamic Relief USA becomes IDEA. As IDEA we are expanding beyond emergency relief to long-term sustainable development programs.
