Description
The Jim Henson Foundation was founded as a private family foundation in 1982 by Muppets creator Jim Henson to promote and develop the art of puppetry in the United States. Since 1992, [Cheryl Henson](https://www.hensonfoundation.org/about-us/board-and-staff/) has been the President of the Foundation. Cheryl grew up building and performing puppets and attending puppet festivals. She is a dedicated advocate for puppetry and funds the activities of the Foundation.
