Kids' Chance of Delaware

**Our Mission** Kids’ Chance of Delaware is a member of Kids’ Chance of America, a national non-profit organization that was created for the purpose of supporting and providing educational opportunities and scholarships for the children of workers who were fatally or catastrophically injured on the job. Through fundraising efforts, Kids’ Chance provides financial support for these children to pursue education and fulfill their dreams. **Fulfilling Educational Dreams** The first Kids’ Chance organization was founded in 1988 by workers compensation attorney Robert Clyatt in Vadosta, Georgia. He developed the initiative after having been a direct witness to the dramatic effect that workplace injuries and fatalities can have on families, specifically the hardships it causes in the pursuit of higher education for the children of the household. After incorporating the inaugural Kids’ Chance group in Georgia, the organization began reaching out to other states to further expand the cause, and now over half of the states in the nation have independent Kids’ Chance chapters.
