About
The Maine Osteopathic Association was created in 1912 to promote and preserve the practice of osteopathic medicine in Maine. We are Maine’s only association dedicated to representing D.O.s!
The Maine Osteopathic Association (MOA) is a divisional society of the American Osteopathic Association.
Our Mission: To serve the osteopathic profession in the state of Maine through a coordinated effort of professional education, professional advocacy, and member services in order to ensure the quality of osteopathic care to the people of this state.
The MOA has over 300 physician members, plus supports osteopathic residents, interns and medical students training in Maine.
Strategic Plan Priorities:
Membership: To increase and retain members to strengthen our association.
Education: To deliver continuing medical education that is relevant, accessible and appealing.
Advocacy: To serve as the voice and advocate for the osteopathic profession in Maine.
Sustainability: To maintain and increase our capacity to support the osteopathic profession in Maine
