**Mission & Impact** The Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation (MVCF) is a true community collaboration. We bring together local nonprofits, organizations, and donors—the people who live on and love our Island—to ensure our diverse, interdependent community thrives. We support initiatives that promote a sound quality of life, create a rich cultural community, and protect healthy and sustainable environments. HERE FOR GOOD since 1982. The Community Foundation honors the past, funds the present, and invests in the future. Measurable and Meaningful Impact The MVCF connects the vision of donors and the realities of the Island’s needs by maximizing every dollar donated. The Foundation started with an initial gift of $60,000 in 1982. Today, we have grown to $14 million in endowment and distributed over $17 million in funding, thanks to the generous support of individuals, families, foundations, and businesses who value the Island and want to ensure it thrives in perpetuity.
