ABOUT US Our Story While the medical staff, employees, and nearly 1,000 volunteers of Miami Valley Hospital provide outstanding clinical care, the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation raises funds to enhance the quality of life for patients and families. Philanthropy has always played a crucial role in the success of Miami Valley Hospital since its founding in 1890. Throughout the hospital’s early years, every building project or significant medical advancement was made possible by contributions from the public. Since 1983, the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation has existed as a separate, non-profit 501(c)3 organization to raise funds and awareness for patient programs and services that are beyond the scope of the hospital’s budget. We do this through annual mailings, grant applications, endowments, maintenance of gift funds, and hosting fundraising events. OUR MISSION Enhance the patient and family experience at Miami Valley Hospital by raising community support for cutting edge programs and services which help build healthy communities.
