**Introduction**
The Montana Primary Care Office (PCO) is committed to improving access to primary care services to medically underserved and vulnerable populations.
The Montana PCO is part of the [Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services](https://dphhs.mt.gov/index) and is grant funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). Two bureaus inside HRSA oversee the Montana PCO, the [The Bureau of Health Workforce](https://www.hrsa.gov/about/organization/bureaus/bhw/index.html) and [The Bureau of Primary Health](https://www.bphc.hrsa.gov/).
The Montana PCO supports HRSA in the following ways:
- Liason for the National Health Service Corp (NHSC) programs.
- Provide Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) analysis for Montana.
- Administer the Montana State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP).
- Recommend J-1 visa waivers for foreign medical graduates to the U.S. Department of State.
