The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), founded in 1955, is dedicated to advancing the arts and sciences of television. Our mission is to promote creative leadership and recognize artistic, educational, and technical achievements within the television industry. NATAS is proud to honor excellence in broadcasting through the prestigious Emmy® Awards.
National Emmy Awards
The Emmy Awards recognize outstanding contributions across a variety of genres: Children’s & Family, Daytime, News & Documentary, Sports, and Technology & Engineering. In addition to the National Emmy Awards, NATAS administers Regional Emmy Awards through 19 chapters across the United States.
