**About Us**
The North Carolina Society of Surveyors was founded on January 31, 1939, and is the only professional organization in North Carolina representing surveyors. We are the second oldest land surveying organization in the United States. We actively deal with issues affecting the surveyor on local, state and national levels. NCSS is an affiliate of the National Society of Professional Surveyors.
