Nevada Medicaid

**Overview** Nevada Medicaid works in partnership with the ***Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services*** to assist in providing quality medical care for eligible individuals and families with low incomes and limited resources. Services are provided through a combination of traditional fee-for-service provider networks and managed care. - [Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services](http://www.cms.gov/) **Medicaid** Medicaid provides health care coverage for many people, including low-income families with children whose family income is at or below 133% percent of poverty, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients, certain Medicare beneficiaries, and recipients of adoption assistance, foster care, and some children aging out of foster care. Nevada Medicaid also operates five Home or Community-Based Services waivers offered to certain persons throughout the state. The Division of Social Services (DSS) determines eligibility for the Medicaid program.
