The Office of Preparedness takes the lead and collaborates with partners and the community to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive program to prepare for, mitigate, respond to, and recover from public health threats and emergencies. Vision We envision a state where the public’s health is protected from terrorism, natural disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and other public health threats and emergencies. Mission We take the lead and collaborate with others to develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive program to prepare for, mitigate against, respond to, and recover from public health threats and emergencies.
