**About ORIP** ORIP has two divisions: the Division of Comparative Medicine and the Division of Construction and Instruments. **Mission Statement** ORIP advances the NIH mission to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability. ORIP contributes to this mission by supporting resources and infrastructure for innovation. Through continued engagement with NIH institutes, centers, and offices (ICOs) and the biomedical research community, ORIP empowers and expands existing programs and develops new initiatives to support NIH at the forefront of the scientific progress.
