**About the Parapsychology Foundation** The Parapsychology Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation which provides a worldwide forum supporting the scientific investigation of psychic phenomena. The Foundation gives grants, publishes pamphlets, monographs, conference proceedings and the International Journal of Parapsychology, hosts the Perspectives Lecture Series, conducts the Outreach Program, maintains the Eileen J. Garrett Library with its collection of more than 12,000 volumes and 100 periodicals on parapsychology and related topics, and is proud of its quality paperback imprint, Helix Press. Since its incorporation in 1951, the Parapsychology Foundation has remained committed to two goals: To support scientific and academic research into psychic phenomena; and to provide professional resources and information to the academic and lay communities. To achieve its goals the Foundation maintains the Eileen J. Garrett Library, and the Eileen J. Garrett Library Archives. As the Eileen J. Garrett once said: “Psychic research today finds itself at a crossroads. It appeals to the philosopher and scientist, to the learned and the unlearned, but since it is also regarded by some as a method by which one may explain the mysteries of life after death, there is little escape for it to that freedom that is objective, satisfying and constructive. Must psychic reality therefore always remain a controversial subject? … It is only by scientific patience, over long years, that real spiritual insight for reality can be achieved, and thus clear away the sentimental emotionalism that has long been the main enemy of true psychic research.”
