Queensland Revenue Office (QRO) is responsible for collecting state taxes, royalty, fines and infringements; administering home owner grants; and collecting and enforcing unpaid fines and penalties. In 2021, the former Office of State Revenue (OSR) merged with the [State Penalties Enforcement Registry](https://qro.qld.gov.au/about-qro/sper/) (SPER) to become the QRO of today. The revenue we collect provides over $30 billion in income for Queensland. We put this money back into roads, schools, hospitals and health services. This helps to grow our economy and improve the wellbeing of all Queenslanders. Simon McKee is the Commissioner of State Revenue and Registrar of the State Penalties Enforcement Registry.
