**About us** The RCF funds long-term and innovative scientific research to ensure that excellent research and high-level expertise make Finland a leading country in sustainable growth. **A Finland that invests in knowledge and research in the long-term will thrive now and in the future** The research funding granted by the RCF enables bold and novel ideas and supports researchers who strive to push the boundaries of traditional science. With our funding, we encourage researchers to undertake scientifically high-quality and even high-risk projects that have the potential to reinvigorate science and benefit society at large. In 2024, The RCF and the Strategic Research Council (SRC) together funded research with approximately 543 million euros. This investment enabled the research work of up to 3,500 people (FTEs) at Finnish universities and research institutes.
