The Richmond County Savings family’s roots in the Staten Island community go back to when the Bank first opened its doors in 1886. Richmond County Savings Bank has grown and branched across the Island and is now a division of New York Community Bank. In 1998, the Richmond County Savings Foundation was formed: - To share with the community part of the financial success of Richmond County Savings Bank as a community minded financial service institution. - To enable the community to share in the growth and profitability of the Bank. Richmond County Savings Foundation has established itself as a leading philanthropic institution in the Staten Island community and beyond. We invest in projects that offer dimension to our community and programs that offer choices and services. The Foundation supports places within our community where people are nourished, students learn, patients heal, nature is enjoyed, culture is explored, seniors’ lives are enriched and human services are offered.
