**About Us** **Since 1996, The Rose Hills Foundation has supported high-impact nonprofits committed to serving the people of Los Angeles County.** We are committed to trust-based philanthropy that begins with learning more about prospective grantees on a deeper level and building relationships based on transparency, dialogue, and mutual accountability. **We focus on four interconnected areas that together help address the most pressing challenges facing our region today** **Our History** Created as a legacy of the Founders and Directors of The Rose Hills Memorial Park, The Rose Hills Foundation has grown significantly since its initial inception, servicing a continuously growing region through its impactful giving. 1914 1914 Rose Hills Memorial Park is founded as a small cemetery on a hillside northwest of the rapidly expanding City of Whittier. 1928 1928 Rose Hills launches an expansion program over two decades, transforming the small 18-acre cemetery into the magnificent memorial park it is today – the largest cemetery in North America.
