Domestically, Jorgensen utilizes a regional approach to managing the infrastructure assets of the nation’s highway system with mid-Atlantic, Florida, and Texas locations. Florida and Texas all have a north, central, and south division. Each specific area is serviced with its own offices and management teams. Our latest expansion is our southwest region which includes Colorado. Our History Our history begins with our founder, Roy Jorgensen, in 1961. Established by Jorgensen’s vision of innovation, Jorgensen consulted and trained clients from around the globe. Shortly thereafter in 1975, the fledgling firm began performing “hands-on” contract maintenance management and became a pioneer in outsourcing contract maintenance services. Today, Jorgensen has kept that innovative recipe and can be found globally with over 700 employed associates. Our Founder Roy Jorgensen’s legacy began as the Chief Engineer of the Connecticut Department of Transportation. In 1950, Jorgensen devised the basic units of work and highway maintenance standards. Jorgensen’s methodology was extremely successful in the Constitution State and by 1961 he founded Roy Jorgensen Associates to expand his vision through wider transportation avenues. Roy Jorgensen fathered the “Performance Budgeting System for Highway Maintenance Management” research project and in 1972 it was published by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program. His principles were hailed as industry-changing and as of 1975, Jorgensen began implementing his ingenious maintenance management program. Those innovative methodologies of Roy Jorgensen live on today as the core values of our firm.
